And so, in 2022 after three years of development, testing and certification, Dapio was officially born. A smartphone app that revolutionises the way you get paid.

2021 was a busy year for us, we kicked off our pre-seed round and joined the Techstars accelerator program. We launched in the US and closed our seed round at $4.3M!

The team got to work building out the tech that will power the Dapio Tap to Pay app.

2019

In 2019 our founders, Grigory and Kosta, saw a gap in the UK & EU markets for
a new way to pay electronically after noticing a huge shift in how businesses were getting paid for everything
from food shopping to jewellery.

2018

Our CEO and co founder Kosta Du travelled to Accra, Ghana where the origin team began testing and development of the initial idea of Tap to Pay.
